Quick Question

Gotta love work; instead of reaching company deadlines we found ourselves enthralled in a debate over the theory surrounding the 2 for one deal. As usual there was a divide and difference of opinion between the male and female contingent, we argued for hours and now the debate is over nothing has been concluded so Im bringing this question out in the open. Is it really that wrong for the male to use a 2 for 1 voucher/coupon to pay for dinner on any date let alone the first? Now I know from the get-go that sounds amazingly cheap and wrong (and funny) but think about it, if you're out on a date and the option arises to get whatever it is you require for half price so to speak then wouldnt you expect to take it? Some call it cheap (the girls) but realistically it's just being resourceful...right? Let me know your thoughts please!

There's absolutely no problem with it! If you've got a coupon what you gonna do tear it up & pay full price? It's not to do with being cheap it's to do with being smart. Plus don't you want the girl to be impressed with you as a person not how much you spend on dinner?! I'm surpised that people would even have a problem with it??

no no no!! First Date? come on! I understand it totally if your a couple and have a sustained relationship but as a man you cant bring out coupons on a first date. That is cheap!! CHEAP I TELL YOU! You're trying to impress the girl, that is not the right way to go about it.

Two valid points ladies but I have to side with Miss23. If you dont act on an offer as good as that you're just stupid. Pride and Materialism are obviously playing a big part on people's minds if they dont take the offer. Just do it!

That being said I will pay with the 2 for 1 voucher discretely so she didnt know lol

nah, i think it's cool...it's funny- i'd laugh! saying that, i understand why it looks cheap though! lol.
if i was a guy, i would just take her somewhere else instead for the first date & use the coupon on the next date because first impressions always stick in your mind.

Hmm interesting thoughts lol

Miss23 you're spot on but would yoou be saying that if a guy you first met did it on your first date?

Becks:)Cheap or Resourceful? would you pay full price on a car if half price was available?

Knowledge you're a joker and I think you're right on the whole pride and materialism concept.

S'n'S what would be your first impressions?

KEEP THIS THOUGHT COMING!

I'm a woman and see no problem with that at all. Bring it on. The coupon may be a bit of an icebreaker for some couples anyway--an excuse to go out on the town and get to know each other.
