The Demise of Candy...?

It's a crowd pleaser, an uplifter, a classic; Cameo's Candy has long been the answer to a boring event but is it beginning to lose it's spark? I remember 5 years ago back in my first year at University and just the sound of the bass guitar and drum pattern in the intro would spurr everyone out their seats or prompt them out of conversations to go left left, right right, back back etc etc. Even the quietest of the quiet and the goons were caught having rhythm. However now it seems the song has been overplayed, over done...over! From when it became a regular spin for DJ's on radio it lost it's nostalgia and now the dance routine has become just routine!

I dont go out as much as I used to so I still get a small urge to do the dance when it comes on, I even made my own version...Im just that good haha. But my advice to DJs is let the tune rest for like a year then bring it back, and stop playing it on radio amongst modern hip-hop and r'n'b tracks...thats just stupid! Nonetheless it will defo be getting a play at my wedding reception. I was hoping to get the scene from The Best Man on here with the dance but youtube have done a good job removing it, ah well.

Well I have only just mastered the dance so as far as I am concerned that tune ain't going nowhere. Aaaah The Best Man, I really like that film and that is one of my best scenes. Damm Youtube, they are such party poopers. Fair not, I think I might have found the next best thing. Check it out.

I like the nostalgia quote...I'll never get tired of hearing candy but I do agree it doesn't hold the same excitement as when they first started to play it in the clubs :(
